Maintenance Fitter

Due to business growth in McKenna Precision Enginneing, we are expanding our Maintenance Fitting Team to work both in Kingscourt and on site with our customers in the North East. www.mckennaprecision.com
Key Function:
Installation & Maintenance on site
- To work as part of an installations team in assembling and installing McKenna Precision equipment and parts on site
- Carry out all physical maintenance and visual checks on client’s site, working with Chains, bolts, pullies and bearings
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance as per schedule
- Attend to machinery breakdowns and diagnose and solve any mechanical failures
- Carry out repairs and upgrades as identified throughout the site
- Have the abiltiy to Arc Weld, assemble, install and maintain mechanical systems such as hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and fixturs
- Keep accurate records of testing, checks, observations and repairs carried out
- Strictly adhere to site Health & Safety regulations and policies
Qualiifications
- Have a minimum of 3 years on the job experience of Factory maintenance
- Successfully completed a Mechanical Apprenticeship
- Completion of a 4 year approved technical training programme in Mainenance or Mechanical Fitting
- Have the abiltiy to mechanically fault fine and be proactive in resolving issues
- Experience in Welding (TIG/MIG and Arc)
- Experiene with phuematics and hydraulics
- Competent in the use of spockets, chains, bearings etc.
- Abiltiy to complete accurate reports
- Ability to assemble,install, test, and maintain equipment and fixtures
- Be quality and safety orientated
- Must be able to use their own initiative and be flexible in working hours to meet deadlines
- Full clean driving license is required
- Top rates of pay and overtime paid, depending on experience
